WASTED OPPORTUNITIES

05/11/2015

Companies understand the need for training and development, but many simply do it just to tick a box. As this article describes, a one-day workshop or seminar is not really going to generate the results that could really make a difference; and without the full buy-in and participation of the leadership team, the effectivity of any training is greatly reduced.

BR training is conducted in 3 x 2-day training courses over a 3 month period, which allows for intense training as well as the practical implementation of the learning tools to create long-term and lasting results.

ComPANIES FAIL TO USe their Most valuable asset

03/10/2015

Despite companies talking the talk, many are failing to walk the walk when it comes to investing in their most important asset. Though industry leaders agree that looking after, training and developing their staff is the key to long-term success, most are doing little to take action.

THE TRUE COST Of hiring and firing

15/08/2015

I came across this interesting perspective on the cost of replacing a staff member. Firms invest huge amounts of money in HR initiatives to recruit the best personnel, but seem to forget to look after those staff once in the company. Employees need much more than just a salary. Being a contribution, being recognised, supported appreciated and being given the opportunity to make a difference; are the most commonly cited aspects lacking in the corporate environment. Investing in staff to generate and foster the right attitude will give you a far greater ROI then constant hiring and firing.

SETTING UNREASONABLE GOALS

28/06/2015

Daryl and Ivan recently completed their first Olympic distance triathlon in the outskirts of Moscow. The weather can only be described as terribly British. It rained for the entire duration and there was even hail at a certain point. Setting goals and facing new challenges is a big part of what we talk about during the training that we deliver. It's important for us to live by the same principles that we train others in.
